In Melbourne with Love

"How is it goin.." It has been more than two years since I have been here in Melbourne.  It’s a quaint, beautiful place, very multi cultured and always with an open hand for the immigrants.
Though I was not welcomed happily, and you don’t feel like home, you will get acquainted to this place and then fall in love.
I mean where else can you find a pink lake????

The climate is highly unpredictable with all seasons happening in a span of half an hour! You will have a dilemma of whether to carry a jacket, umbrella or a wind cheater. The way in which I tackled this is by always carrying a pair of gloves, a beanie, an umbrella, and a backpack cover in my backpack. Was not an easy task, but as I said before, you will get used to it. The summer can hit you with a 47 degree and winter can chill you with a real feel of -6 degree. When summer hits, the entire Melbourne will hit the beach.

Unlike other cities, you don’t feel like you are in a busy fast passed city, I have no idea why. The public transport is the best and frequents often so that you can travel far really quick.

Though the place is dominated by Indians and Asians, you will meet Australian as well. They are fun loving real friendly people, unless you go and poke your nose in their privacy. They always greet you with a smile and “Hoz is it goin?” which will make your day. They like to involve in small talks about weather, footie etc. though they don’t care about any of these, still to engage in some kind of conversation.

The restaurants in here is something I like to most. You can get all types of cuisines like Chinese, Korean, Singaporean, Taiwanese, Indian, Malaysian, Pakistani, Srilankan, Italian and all of those kinds that you can imagine, and in some places, even Australian! Still most of the people would like to eat at McDonalds’s, KFC, Subway and all other kinds of fast-food restaurant.

In short, Melbourne is a real safe city with lots to experience and I’m sure, every one will love it.

Cheers mate....
