Lets clear some air first, Sydney is not the biggest city in Australia. This would be really hard for people to digest but lets get this straight. Sydney CBD area is 25 km² and that of Melbourne is 36 km².
Any ways, to explore Sydney my friends and I landed in Sydney just before the new year fireworks. There is no way in the world that you can describe the crowd. It was like you were standing in the middle of an ocean. People from all round the world was visiting Sydney to watch the New Year firework and welcome the new year with joy and cheers.
We had an opportunity to witness the fireworks from near the bridge and guess what, that was mind blowing. We waited for tit to end and then headed of to do some gambling. We had a good night and headed of to a friends place to call it a day.
The next day was not much of a joy compared to previous day. Don't get me wrong in here. The previous day was all celebration and today is just a normal day. A normal day in Sydney is of not much difference compared to Melbourne. Multi-cultured working and fast paced busy crowd. Every one was in hurry to reach to office and I was in a hurry to get a coffee and relax.
I hit few spots in Sydney and NSW and was really cool. Some real good places, beaches, winery, Opera house, Harbour Bridge and Madame Tussauds (This is magnificient).
All places, as they say was unique in its own way and was great! The public transport was at it best, but as a resident of Melbourne I should say, tickets were expensive,I was missing trams, but ferries did the job.
